Our Founder
Nancy G. Zak
Ms. Zak’s career has focused upon conservation easements and their associated tax benefits since 1999. Forever Forests was founded by Nancy G. Zak to assist individuals and companies in preserving environmentally significant land. Forever Forests’ economic approach to conservation is a product of Ms. Zak’s experience in the real estate industry. She is a registered architect, held a real estate broker’s license in Texas and earned an MBA in Finance and a Masters of Architecture from the University of Michigan.
Ms. Zak’s career has followed a diverse path from college to her current endeavors. Following experiences in architectural design and construction management, Ms. Zak turned to commercial mortgage brokerage where she secured debt and equity financing of more than $850 million for numerous large commercial projects. She then joined a Georgia developer as Chief Financial Officer. There Ms. Zak managed the preservation of several parcels of land owned by the developer through the granting of conservation easements. This ultimately led to the formation of Forever Forests and the creation of the basic structure now being followed in the industry in what are commonly called “conservation partnerships”
